Staffline is recruiting for a General Operative to join our client, the only plant growing nursery in the UK for a leading supermarket. They grow around 4 million plants every year.

Staffline are looking for a General operative to work in Spalding.

The rate of pay is £11.44 per hour.

This is a full-time role, working fixed day shifts. The hours of work are:
- 7am - 4:30pm

Your Time at Work
As a General Operative you will be working inside the greenhouses, tending to the plants.

Some of the role will involve working outside in all weathers. Your role will be to tend to the plants from small seedling growth, ready for dispatch to the supermarket. There will be potting, pruning, labelling and a lot of moving the plants around through the different growing cycles.

No experience is necessary as full training will be provided.

Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect worker will be adaptable to work in all weather conditions and must be able to work alone at times. They must also be able to handle delicate young plants.

This is a physical role, involving lots of manual handling, such as lifting and bending. The greenhouses can get very hot, therefore you must be able to adapt to the climate. This environment is not suitable if you have an allergy to pollen.
