Lean Manufacturing

Lean Manufacturing looks at the cost of wasted opportunity also known as "down-time" as this accounts for some 90% of wasted time when value is not being added to the product, e.g. setup time, waiting for instructions, waiting for labour, reworking.

Starting with a review of the systems and processes, followed by educating the staff and then implementing the agreed changes has, for every single business who has already benefited from the process, made significant increases in margins, improved relationships with clients (by adhering to delivery schedules, lowering faulty products, etc.) and improved the morale of the employees.
