European Inbound Controller

  • Ellesmere Port £9.15 - £15.26 per hour Type of Job: Temporary

Staffline is recruiting for European Inbound Controller, to join the UK's leading multinational automotive company and become a part of our prestigious client's team at their site based in Ellesmere Port

The rates of pay are as follows:

  • Day shifts - £9.15 per hour, with overtime rate after 8 hours worked - £13.73 per hour
  • Night shifts - £10.17 per hour, with overtime rate after 8 hours worked - £15.26 per hour

Weekend rates will apply.

You will be working on a 3 shifts rota as maternity cover for about 12 months, starting in May 2019. This role offers great competitive pay and the opportunity for carer progression.

Your time at work

You would be responsible for speaking to European Venders, coordination of all deliveries EU and UK with fixed parameters into Ellesmere Port whilst ensuring and operational issues are resolved/ escalated to both senior management and the customer. The role will involve coordination with both carriers and the customer in a very difficult and in a time pressured environment to ensure accurate information is provided/ acted upon and then recorded for both invoicing & KPI purposes.

Main accountabilities to include but not be limited to:

  • Speaking to European vendors
  • Updating KPI and dock plan sheets and confirm off job on operational system
  • Inputting date into the systems accurately and within a specific time frame
  • Following up and responding to queries from the client in relation to vehicle where about/ ETA time
  • Handling phone calls
  • Working closely with operational teams to resolve any collection / planning issues to optimise company's effectiveness
  • Chasing up carries and responding to the customer in a timely manner where applicable to complete a the relevant documentation
  • General Office Duties

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Confident using Outlook
  • The ability to multi-task
  • Good computer skills and a good grasp of the English are mandatory
  • Flexible as weekend may be required to work
