Staffline is recruiting for Automotive Night Processing Clerk, working for one of our most prestigious client's based in Lichfield.

The rate of pay is £12.82 per hour

You will be required to work night shifts between 10PM and 6AM, 37.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday.

Your time at work

The candidate will be working in a dynamic transport environment situated in a transport office, coordinating the administration activities that will accompany the movements of material from the UK to mainland Europe. Providing support on document creation, system data creation and general data entry. The individual will ensure the fast processing of the information, perform quality audits and ensuring quality requirements are met for a number of crucial KPI parameters.

The successful candidate will also be required to keep internal and external stake holders updated on issues, perform exception management and support cross training / staff coverage.

The role will require two weeks on a day time shift pattern at the start during initial training. Candidate will move onto the required night shift pattern to complete the training program.

Main accountabilities to include but not be limited to:

  • Plan, organise and control activities related to transportation
  • Excellent customer service
  • Direct workers for loading and unloading of consignments, goods and means of transport
  • Respect the law on road traffic public, domestic and international traffic of goods
  • Coordinate team that prepares all documents and obtain all documents necessary for legal circulation on public roads
  • Obtain licenses for transport and execution of motor vehicle
  • Follow due dates for renewal of licenses, permits, etc. and reports to supervisors/managers to initiate appropriate action
  • Find optimal solutions for transport and communicate solutions to the clients
  • Assisting in the compilation of weekly transport statistics
  • Handle day to day queries from internal departments

The ideal candidate will have the following skill base:

  • Computer literate and competent with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, good keyboard skills
  • Communication, forward planning and negotiation skills
  • Ability to maintain records of vehicle operations
  • Numeracy skills
  • Good attention to detail

A previous knowledge of transport systems and driving laws is also desired although this can be trained over a period of time. Any transport background is highly advantageous for the role. A second language is also highly advantageous (PL/DE/FR/RO).
