Senior Warehouse Operator

£23,500 to £26,500 Band

1 Year fixed Term Contract with bebefits , view to go permanent

Monday to Friday backshift working

Location: Wythenshawe area

Client: Global medical and Consumer Health Manufacturer

Warehouse serving a fast-paced manufacturing factory

A brief snapshot of your new role:

  • Good Inwards Receiving
  • Un/loading orders on and off vehicles
  • Checking order quantities
  • Kanban System
  • Inputting data onto ERP
  • Cycle Counts
  • Picking and Packing
  • Forklift Duties

Your day-to-day work includes:

  • Timely receipt and processing of all materials receiving at goods receiving or from internal sources
  • Safe and coordinated storage of all materials
  • Timely processing of all Goods Issues to internal and external customers, ensuring transactions are completed
  • Maintaining accurate picking/put away of materials to aid Cycle Counting and assist with stock audits where applicable
  • Carrying out the activities as defined in the Company’s Quality System
  • You will comply with health and safety regulations within the team and the environment, ensuring safe practice regarding use of equipment (i.e., machinery, lift truck, manual handling equipment etc)
  • To ensure all workstations are fully operational in terms of packaging materials
  • To promote the quality of customer orders picked and packed through the Distribution department adhering to, complying with SOP’s
  • Understanding of all relevant Health & Safety and GMP procedures to ensure a safe and clean working environment
  • Through the effective use of the companies ERP, WCS and WMS Systems, lead, motivate and control your area/shift,  to ensure customer requirements, distribution performance targets, and quality standards are met and when possible exceeded.

Working Environment:

  • Open plan warehouse / factory building
  • All necessary personal protective equipment must be worn along with the use of the correct manual handling equipment and operating techniques
  • As well as some lifting the majority of products are transported throughout the building on movable handling equipment

Is this you?

  • An understanding of MS Word, Excel, and MS outlook
  • Experience of working within a stores or warehouse environment
  • Counterbalance Forklift Licence preferred, not essential
  • Confidence and communication skills to share expertise to help others
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to work on their own initiative but also be part of a proactive team
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of stock control and replenishment systems
  • Good numerical skills
