Transport Administrator

  • Wellesbourne, Warwick £9.23 - £10.25 per hour Type of Job: Temporary

A vacancy has arisen for a Transport Administrator working for one of our most prestigious clients based in Wellesbourne, near Warwick. You will be responsible to ensure all administration are undertaken within agreed time-frames. This will include liaison with the Customer Service, Warehouse Operations and Transport Teams. Successful candidates will be responsible for administration, including information relating to deliveries and collections. The right candidates will have the potential for career progression.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting to the Transport Manager working within the transport team
  • Provide internal administration support for the transport team
  • Liaising with internal and external customers
  • Debriefing drivers at the end of shift
  • Filing and archiving of compliance based documentation to DVSA/DHL standard
  • Packaging counts and circulation

Candidate must have:

  • Good level of IT and Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel)
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Good at information seeking and handling
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Excellent customer service including polite telephone manner
  • License to drive 7.5 tonne vehicle, desirable but not essential
  • Good level of geographical knowledge preferable
  • Ability to react at short notice
  • Proactive mind-set
  • Sound knowledge of transport laws/regulations
  • Ability to think about the box

You will be required to work from Monday to Friday, however, flexibility to work additional shifts, where necessary to meet the business needs is essential.

The pay rates are from £9.23 per hour to £10.25 per hour
