We are currently recruiting a Aviation Security Site Manager at Farnborough Airport

- Full time permanent position
- Hours 40 hours per week, 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday
- Salary - £45.032 (£21.65ph)

CTC and DBS checks required for all potential candidates and the ability to pass and hold National Security Clearance Vetting Airport Counter-Terrorist Check (CTC).- Must be eligible for an Airside Security Pass.

Your Time at Work

The Aviation Security Manager (ASM) is a senior member of the security management team, responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of security at the Gulfstream facility within Farnborough Airport. The ASM ensures the protection of high-value assets, personnel, and infrastructure, maintaining strict compliance with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations and Department for Transport (DfT) standards.

The role involves managing the on-site security team 24/7 and serving as the primary lead for site emergency arrangements and aviation-specific threat responses. You will be provided with the necessary training and uniform so that you can confidently carry out the role in line with security regulations and G4S company policies and procedures.

You will report directly into the Internal: Account Director, Aviation Operations Lead. External: Farnborough Airport Operations, CAA/DfT inspectors, Local Law Enforcement.

The accountable manager of the operation. Ensure full compliance with all Health, Safety, and Aviation Security procedures as set by the Client, G4S, and National Aviation Security Programmes (NASP)
- Oversee day-to-day operational management of the aviation security team, including sickness/absence management and HR support
- Manage access control for the Restricted Zone (RZ), ensuring all vehicle and person checks comply with aviation security mandates
- Lead the development and mentoring of Security Supervisors and Officers.
- Act as the Incident Controller for aviation-specific emergencies, including site evacuations or security breaches .
- Maintain meticulous record-keeping and compliance documentation for auditing by regulatory bodies & stakeholders
- Deliver service level requirements according to aviation-specific KPIs and client expectations.

Skills and Competences

- Comprehensive knowledge of Aviation Security (AvSec) regulations, policies, and best practices
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at a high level
- Sound judgment and decision-making under pressure, particularly during high-tempo airport operations
- Innovative and adaptable approach to evolving security threats in a corporate aviation environment.



Educational Requirements

Good standard of education in Maths, English, and IT .Preferred Experience: Security professional with a background in Aviation, Corporate Security, or Military/Police environments. Experience leading teams in a high-pressure, regulated operational theatre .Personal Qualities: Highest levels of integrity and professionalism. A proactive "can-do" attitude with the ability to plan ahead and share intelligence to mitigate risks.

As the position supports Gulfstream operations and provides a security service to prestigious and high-profile customers, the Site Supervisor must demonstrate exceptional personal presentation, discretion, integrity, and communication skills at all times. The post holder is expected to act as a professional ambassador for both Gulfstream and Farnborough Airport, delivering a calm, courteous, and customer-focused approach while maintaining robust security standards. The ability to balance firm security enforcement with a polished service ethos is essential in this role.
