Great opportunity to work as a Glazier for leading manufacturer of glazed and pre-hung internal door sets, providing to door specialists, builders' merchants, and independent door shops across the UK.

Staffline is currently looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Glazier to join production team in Ely.

This is a temp-to-perm position, with the opportunity to move to a permanent contract after 12 weeks.

Due to the location of the site in Ely, candidates must have access to their own vehicle or reliable transport to travel to and from the workplace.

The rate of pay is £13.40 per hour

This is a full time role, working Monday to Friday.
Candidates must be flexible and able to work either of the following shifts when required:

The hours of work are:
- 7:30am - 16:00pm or 5:00am - 13:30pm

Your Time at Work
In this role, you will be responsible for cutting, preparing, and fitting glass into timber-based doors to meet customer specifications, helping us deliver excellence every time.

Your duties and responsibilities as a Glazier will include:

- Interpreting work instructions and production paperwork to complete glazing tasks accurately
- Cutting glass using hand tools and automatic cutting tables, including preparation work such as etching, taping, and fitting gaskets
- Preparing and assembling VP beading and installing glass into timber doors to a high standard
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant certifications, (e.g., Certifire, Q-Mark) standards
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area in line with Health & Safety requirements
- Supporting other areas of production and dispatch when required to meet operational needs
- Working in a fast-paced production environment where overtime may be required during busy periods to meet operational demands

You will have good attention to detail and be comfortable working within a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience using hand tools, with a background in joinery or similar hands-on work
- Experience with manual handling in a workshop or warehouse environment
- Good time management skills and strong attention to detail
- The ability to work well as part of a team, with a willingness to learn and develop
- Forklift experience and the ability to read CAD drawings (desirable)
- A positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile
