Aviation Operations Coordinator

We are currently recruiting for an Aviation Operations Coordinator to join the G4S team, working for a well-known site at London Heathrow Airport.
Contract Information:
Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour
Shift Pattern: Full-time, rotating shifts, 6am to 6pm, 8am to 8pm, 10am to 10pm
A Full Manual UK Driving Licence is required.
Due to the nature of this role, all candidates will be asked to provide references covering the last 5 years of employment. Candidates must be willing to undergo a DBS and CTC check.
Your Time at Work
As an Aviation Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Staff Rosters and Deployment: Ensure accurate and efficient roster management to formulate rosters and staff attendance in advance, as well as planning and reacting to operational/flight changes and staff changes due to annual leave, training and unplanned absence.
- Operational Control: Coordinate day-to-day aviation security operations to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant environment. Take charge of team deployment to and from aircraft and other operations.
- Flight Operations: As a member of the management team, deploy to aircraft completing screening and guarding duties as required, and also act as the coordinator at the aircraft, overseeing compliance operations, completing and signing of paperwork and managing and supporting G4S guard and supervisor staff levels.
- Incident Response & Reporting: Act as a focal point for aviation-specific emergencies, security breaches, or site evacuations.
- Risk Assessment. Apply risk assessment methodology as part of core duties, report identified risks to senior management and apply mitigating measures as required.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure full compliance with all Health, Safety, and Aviation Security procedures (NASP/CAA/G4S/Airline).
- Airside Driving: To perform this role, you will be required to undertake airside driver training and drive airside whilst on duty.
Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect worker will have:
- Experience: Prior experience in a high-pressure, regulated security environment (Aviation Security experience highly desirable).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of AvSec policies, UK CAA regulations, and security best practices.
- Vetting: Must pass a Counter-Terrorist Check (CTC) and DBS checks.
- Airside Pass: Must be eligible for an Airside Security Pass (requires a 5-year referenceable history and a continuous residence in the UK of the last 3 years).
- Skills: Exceptional communication skills, ability to remain calm under pressure, and strong IT skills.
