Afternoon Transport Co-Ordinator

We are looking for an experienced Customs Operations Co-ordinator to join our team, working afternoon and evening hours to support the coordination and processing of Irish customs movements. This role is key to ensuring that cross-border shipments are processed accurately, on time, and in line with customs requirements. This position will be based out of our customers site in Doncaster, DN6.
Shift Patterns:
Monday to Friday 12pm to 8pm
Pay:
£12.98 per hour between 12pm to 6pm, then £14.93 per hour from 6pm onwards.
Your Time at Work
The main responsibilities include:
- Submit load and customs declarations to third-party customs partners
- Provide load details to transport and border systems to obtain required movement references (e.g. GMR/PBN)
- Manage and process all return movements between Ireland (ROI) and Northern Ireland (NI)
- Monitor daily operational performance, reporting issues and investigating exceptions or failures
- Liaise closely with external haulage partners overseas to ensure accurate documentation and smooth delivery processes
- Communicate delivery updates and any operational issues clearly to internal stakeholders and receiving locations
- Resolve licensing, customs, and product-related queries raised during clearance
- Take ownership of transport equipment movements to and from delivery locations, ensuring accurate and timely debrief information is captured
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in customs operations, transport coordination, or international logistics
- Good understanding of Irish customs processes (ROI/NI movements preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments at pace
- Confident communicator, able to work with external partners and internal teams
- Proactive problem-solver with a calm approach under pressure
- Comfortable working afternoon/evening shifts
