A great opportunity to work as a Knife-hand/Cutter at our clients two sites in Grimsby house cutting edge facilities, with teams responsibly sourcing and processing salmon, whitefish and crustaceans, from around the world.
Staffline are currently recruiting for Knife-Hand/Cutters
The hours of work are: Monday to Friday
- 6am - 2pm
- 2pm to 10pm
The rate of pay is:
Training: £12.71 per hour
Post Training: £13.96 per hour
Your Time at Work
As a Knife-hand / Cutter your role will include:
- Use trained skills to complete all tasks assigned by a member of the management team and ensure that quality, food safe products are produced for customers
- Using a knife to trim fish to a variety of differing specification requirements in a manner that minimises waste and improves yield
- Using appropriate knife safety at all times to ensure risk of cuts and lacerations is minimised to self and others
- Handle and package products in accordance with all relevant food safety standards
- To follow good manufacturing practices to ensure the working area is kept clean and tidy at all times
- Complete tasks as efficiently as possible in order to reduce waste and downtime and maximise yields and profits reporting all issues to a member of the management team
Our Perfect Worker
Our Perfect worker will:
- Follow all H+S training whilst at work
- Work flexibly to support all areas of the business where required to ensure service levels are met
- Ability to read, recall and trim to set standard specifications across multiple products and customers
- Ability to complete repetitive movement of hands, fingers and wrists for averaging 8-10 hours daily
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment producing quality, food safe products for customers
- Often working in damp and wet conditions
Experience in similar role desirable, but not essential
