Security Officer  Full Time (SIA Licensed)

We are seeking a professional, customer-focused Security Officer to help keep our people, premises and visitors safe. You will provide a visible security presence, respond to incidents, and support a welcoming environment while maintaining high standards of vigilance and integrity.

£14.07 per hour working 4 on 4 off

06.00-18.00 and 18.00-06.00

Key responsibilities

• Carry out regular patrols of the site (internal and external) and monitor CCTV/alarm systems.
• Control access/egress, issue visitor passes and maintain accurate records and logs.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies and alarm activations, escalating where required.
• Provide excellent customer service to staff, visitors and contractors, acting as a professional point of contact.
• Support safety and security procedures including fire, evacuation and first response protocols (training provided where needed).
• Complete clear written reports for incidents, hazards and daily handovers.
• Assist with lock/unlock duties and key management in line with site procedures.
• Handle calls to the site
• Weighbridge operation

What we’re looking for

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence (essential).
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to deal calmly with challenging situations.
• Good observational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to follow procedures.
• Basic IT skills for report writing and logging incidents.
• Reliable and punctual, comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Desirable: First Aid at Work certificate, CCTV (Public Space Surveillance) licence, previous security or customer-facing experience.
