Control Room Operator

We are currently recruiting for a Control Room Operator to join the G4S team, working for a well known-site in London!
Contract Information:
Location: London, St Pauls
Hours: Average 42 hours per week, 4 on 4 off - based on a 12 hour shift pattern rotating through days, nights and weekends
Pay rate: £16.44 per hour
SIA Licence: Security Guarding or Door Supervisor and CCTV
Contract Incentive Bonus of up to £700 per year, depending on performance!
FREC level 3 would be desirable or the willingness to achieve this would be essential.
Your Time at Work
As a Control Room Operator you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining a high profile, visible security presence by meeting, greeting, and assisting visitors/staff/contractors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Ensures the safety and security of customers, employees, premises, and property whilst maintaining and adding to the overall experience of the customer.
- Conduct thorough security patrols periodically, focusing on security and fault finding first, escalating immediately to the control room for action. This may include health and safety issues.
- Prevent unauthorised entry to client premises by way of always maintaining vigilance.
- Investigate all instances of suspicious activity observed or escalating immediately to the control room for action.
- Assist in an emergency i.e., first aid or fire evacuation.
- Maintain radio communication with the control room to provide seamless communications.
- Always maintain an alert and vigilant approach, ascertain any potential threats or changes within the work environment taking the appropriate steps to reduce disruption, loss, or damage.
- Loading bay duties covering permit control, checking ID, issuing access control cards, and taking in early deliveries on occasion.
- Ensuring you are fully conversant with all the group operational standards and procedures for security.
- Creating reports accurately and factually on incidents and accidents on the premises.
- Monitoring surveillance equipment (CCTV)
- Maintaining a secure environment by monitoring and responding to active alarms
- Compile detailed reports for audits.
- Provisioning access control card and access ensuring correct approvals are received beforehand.
- Requesting restricted access to support the permit system and enable contractors' access.
- Co-ordinate day-to-day operational needs by assisting the management on duty.
- Following and implementing daily tasks from management.
- Ensure that there is a thorough handover after each shift with Security personnel.
Our Perfect Worker
You will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times. Good IT knowledge is also key alongside a high level of professionalism, a good attention to detail, and a proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
The successful candidate will already hold a valid SIA licence, including a CCTV licence.
