HGV Class 1 Drivers

Staffline is recruiting for HGV Class 1 drivers for our client based in Sherburn in Elmet, LS25
Minimum 6 months experience required for this role
PAYE rates for the role of HGV Class 1 driver are as follows:
Days: £19.75 per hour
Nights £20.50 per hour
Saturday: £21.25 per hour
Sunday: £22 per hour
Bank Holiday Day: £23 per hour
Bank Holiday Night: £26.99 per hour
Your Time at Work
We are currently recruiting for experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team, delivering totes, pallets, and black boxes to stores and RDCs across local and regional routes.
Minimum 6 months experience required for this role and a someone able to use initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery of totes, pallets, and black boxes to stores and distribution centres
- Operating tail lifts, pump trucks, and dock levellers
- Completing 1-4 drops per trailer (typically 1 run, occasionally 2 per shift)
- Ensuring safe and efficient loading/unloading of goods
- Carrying out store deliveries, some of which involve tight access and reversing
We are mainly looking for drivers to work Thursday to Sunday as these are the busiest days - there may be adhoc shifts available mid week too upon request.
Shift start times: 04:00 for Days, 11:00 - 13:00 Afternoons

Our Perfect Worker
As an experienced HGV1 Driver you will ideally have -
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Minimum 6 months experience
- Confident with reversing and manoeuvring in tight spaces
- Comfortable with an element of manual handling
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and professional attitude
- No more than 6 points
- Digi card and DCPC
