Great opportunity to work as a Despatch Operative for our client's pork factory.

Staffline is recruiting Despatch Operatives in Bugle.

The rate of pay is:
- AM Shift £13 per hour
- PM Shift £14 per hour

Overtime is available and is paid at:
- AM Shift £19.50 per hour
- PM Shift £21.00 per hour

This is a full-time role working fixed shifts, Monday to Friday, and the hours of work are:
- AM, 6:25am to 3:25pm
- PM, 3:15pm to 11:50pm

Applicants must have their own transport to travel to the site.

Your Time at Work

As our Despatch Operative, you'll be helping make sure everything runs safely, efficiently, and on time. You'll keep things moving, support your team and ensure every order leaves exactly as it should. Key duties include:

- Operational Prowess: Help the team to complete all daily outloads and unloads according to schedule. This includes loading stock onto trailers, wrapping pallets and assisting the despatch team in whatever way you can.
- Inventory & Quality Control: Manage correct stock rotation for customer orders, and oversee all CCPs and quality verification checks within your area.
- System & Data Management: Ensure accurate input for SAP, PDB, and Esmiley systems, while maintaining flawless paperwork for customer communications and legal requirements.
- Safety & Efficiency: Maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety and hygiene procedures while continually identifying ways to improve team yields and operational efficiency.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect Production Operative will be comfortable with handling raw meat and able to lift produce in excess of 5kg in weight.

We are looking for a responsible team member who thrives under pressure and takes pride in the accuracy of their work. You should be a trustworthy communicator who can motivate a team to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Previous experience in a factory or production environment is essential, along with experience leading or supporting a team. Experience in warehousing, logistics, forklift operation, or shunting would be beneficial, but not essential, as full training can be provided for the right person.

Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and keep things running smoothly under pressure. You'll have a keen eye for detail, especially when it comes to paperwork and processes.

Good English and numeracy skills (Level 2 or above), along with an understanding of food safety, HACCP, and continuous improvement practices. Experience with systems such as SAP or PDB would be an advantage.
