Great opportunity to work as a Thermal Process Operative within a well-established pork processing facility, helping to ensure high-quality pork products are safely processed and prepared for customers.

Staffline is recruiting Thermal Process Operatives in Bugle, St Austell.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with production or manufacturing experience who are looking to develop their skills within a specialised processing department.

Full training is provided, with opportunities to progress and secure a permanent position.

The rate of pay is:
- Days £14.04 per hour
- Nights £17.50 per hour

Overtime is available and is paid at:
- Days £21.06 per hour
- Nights £26.25 per hour

This is a full-time role working a fixed rota on a 4-on-4-off basis.

The hours of work are:
- Days: 6:30am to 6:30pm
- Nights: 6:30pm to 6:30am

Applicants must have their own transport to travel to the site.

Your Time at Work

As a Thermal Process Operative, you will play an important role in ensuring products move safely and efficiently through the thermal processing department. You will work as part of a dedicated team to maintain product quality, food safety standards, and operational performance.

Key duties include:
- Supporting daily production requirements using planned priority schedules
- Moving racks of product using power pallet trucks
- Maintaining correct stock rotation and traceability procedures
- Completing quality checks and monitoring critical control points (CCPs)
- Accurately completing production paperwork and system records
- Using PDB and eSmiley systems where required
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and Health & Safety
- Supporting continuous improvement activities and department efficiency
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure customer requirements are met

Our ideal Thermal Process Operative will be comfortable working within a food production environment and handling raw pork products.

You will be a reliable and motivated team member who takes pride in producing quality work and maintaining accurate records.

You will have:
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A strong attention to detail
- Good English and basic numeracy skills
- The ability to work under pressure and meet production targets
- A willingness to follow food safety and quality procedures
- The ability to carry out manual handling tasks and work on your feet throughout the shift

Experience of HACCP, PDB, eSmiley systems or PPT equipment would be advantageous but is not essential.
