Security Officer

We are currently recruiting for a Security Officer to join the G4S team, working for a well known-site in London!
Contract Information:
Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour
Hours: 56 per week
Shifts: 7 days, 3 off, 7 nights, 4 off. 7am to 7pm/ 7pm to 7am
An SIA Licence is required.
Applicants must have lived in the UK for at least the last 5 years, due to SC Clearance requirements.
Your Time at Work
As a Security Officer you'll ensure the safety of our customers staff, their buildings and assets, whilst providing excellent customer service with a smile. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service in a safe and secure environment.
It's a varied role that includes greeting staff and visitors and ensuring they adhere to the required security protocols, conducting searches where required, patrolling the premises and dealing with security incidents. You'll ensure visitors and staff are in a safe environment by de-escalating situations in a firm but respectful manner. With a keen eye and a brilliant way with people, you could look forward to an interesting role where no two days are the same with exciting career opportunities.
Our Perfect Worker
What we'll need from you:
- Aged over 18.
- Requires specialist knowledge and a high degree of initiative, creativity with a wide scope for discretion.
- Must hold a valid SIA licence and keep in date.
- Must be first aid trained.
- Banksman training is required to support the Security Operation on site.
- Working in Public Sector commercial environments is preferable.
- Security experience of working in high-profile buildings.
- An excellent team player.
- Numeracy and technology literate.
- Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the current legislation of the role being applied for.
- A proactive and positive 'can-do' attitude.
- Calm and professional approach at all times.
