HGV Class 1 Day Drivers

Staffline are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Day Drivers for our client based in Stoke. This is a great opportunity to secure ongoing weekday work delivering timber products to well-known retailers.
Shift Pattern
Monday - Friday
No weekend work
Start Times
Between 04:00 - 08:00 (typically 05:00 - 06:00)
Pay Rates (PAYE)
Day Rate: £17.69 per hour
Tramping Rate (if applicable): £17.98 per hour
Your Time at Work
- Delivering timber products to stores and builders merchants
- Completing 1-4 drops per shift
- Occasional collections from suppliers
- Curtainside trailer work (Volvo units)
- No manual unloading required - stores unload
Driver responsible for:
- Unstrapping and restrapping loads
- Ensuring load safety and weight distribution
Our Perfect Worker
- Valid HGV Class 1 (CE) licence
- Newly passed drivers welcome
- Digi Tacho & CPC
- Experience with load strapping preferred
- Professional, safety-focused attitude
