Staffline is recruiting Lead QA Auditors in Wrexham.

The rate of pay is £13.24 per hour, overtime is available and is paid at £19.86 per hour.

This is a full-time role working fixed shifts and the hours of work are:
- 6am to 6pm

Your Time at Work

Responsibilities for all lead auditors:

- Deputise in the absence of the QA Supervisor
- Appraisal of key components and finished product against written quality parameters
- Collaborative approach with other departments to ensure adherence to site and legal requirements
- Complete initial risk assessments of incidents, investigate and escalate as required
- Ensure audits are carried out in line with pre-defined schedule
- Ensure all food safety, GMP, legality and quality requirements are adhered to
- A proactive approach to identification and investigation of non-conforming product or standards
- Communication of issues and actions via email and in person with the supervisory/management team
- Ensure all relevant paperwork is available to check process controls, verification of critical pieces of equipment e.g. daily line sheets, scales, probes, metal detectors, checkweighers

Specific responsibilities for team members based in Quality Assessment Kitchen:
- Continuous sampling of finished product
- Prepare daily taste panels for the wider team
- Carry out end-of-life product sampling panels with the wider team
- Complete sleeve intakes against the agreed specification
- Control of reference sample area, removing out-of-date meals

Specific responsibilities for team members based in Raw Material Intake:
- Check raw materials entering site against agreed specifications
- Communicate and report non-conformance to our suppliers.
- At external coldstore, booking in of deliveries onto the JBA (stock system)

Specific responsibilities for team members based in Lab:
- Collecting and booking in samples of raw materials, chilled products, work in progress and environmental booking
- Ensure traceability within the lab is maintained and ensure samples are submitted for the correct testing suite following the schedules in place
- Perform effluent tests on effluent samples

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will have the following skills:

- 2 years' experience within quality assurance in the food sector
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent
- Physical fitness
- Punctual and reliable
- Working as part of a team
- Problem-solving and ability to use own initiative
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
