Quality Controller

Staffline is recruiting candidates to work as a Quality Controller with our client, a leading national bakery based in Milton Keynes.
This full-time, temp-to-perm role, working a 4 on 2 off shift pattern. The hours of work are:
- AM shift 5:30am to 2pm
- PM shift 1:30pm to 10pm
Training is required first, which will be from 6am to 6pm- 3 on 3 off.
The rates of pay are £13.74 per hour.
Overtime is available and paid at time and a half.
Previous experience in a similar role is required due to the nature of the role.
Your Time at Work
The responsibilities of a Quality Controller include:
- Quality control of materials, packaging, and production equipment to agreed specifications.
- Recording specification results on the relevant inspection report
- Informing the technical department of any non-conformances
- Completing weekly quality attribute sheet for finished products
- Carry out and record calibration checks on metal detectors and other equipment to required procedures and frequencies
- Informing management of any problems with raw materials, machinery, equipment or finished product
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
- Performing daily hygiene inspections
- Completing and reviewing production paperwork
- Identifying potential issues and informing management in a timely manner
- Conforming to Health & Safety guidelines
Our Perfect Worker
Our ideal Quality Controller will be a strong communicator and has level 2 qualifications in both, HACCP, and Food Safety & Hygiene.
They should be focused and driven to produce high-quality products for consumers.
Quality Controllers must be quick to act and proactively make decisions based on their understanding of Health and Safety within Food Production.
Good numeracy and literacy skills are required in this position.
Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
