Are you hardworking, reliable, and ready to be part of a dynamic team? We are looking for a Level 2 Senior Operator to be part of a dedicated AM or PM team to ensure our high-value products move seamlessly through our factory.

Staffline is recruiting Line Leaders in Bugle, St. Austell.

The rate of pay is:
- AM £14.04 per hour
- PM £15.04 per hour

Overtime is available and is paid at:
- AM £21.06 per hour
- PM £22.56 per hour

This is a full-time role working fixed shifts, and the hours of work are:
- AM: 06:25am to 15:25pm
- PM: 15:15pm to 23:45pm

Applicants must have a Driving Licence and their own transport to get to the site, which cannot be accessed by public transport or on foot.

Your Time at Work

As a Line Leader you will be responsible for:

- Leading a team in your designated area, ensuring key performance indicators are worked to and that any threats are actioned and then escalated to your section leader.
- Understanding machinery capabilities and assisting line leaders with setting and adjusting lines.
- Being able to demonstrate a knowledge of the relevant procedures to your area and know actions to take with any threats.
- Understanding and interpreting product specifications.
- Demonstrating accurate eSmiley data entry on applicable logs.
- High attention to detail with all paperwork, eSmiley logs and data entry.
- Pay close attention to the completion of eSmiley logs and raise concerns to key operative for support.
- Report any hazards or machine problems immediately to a key operative or a section leader and support resolution as needed.
- Understand and deliver key performance indicators and raise concerns and required support to key operatives.
- Ensure good standards of general manufacturing practice and that the department is always audit ready.
- Pass on experience and knowledge through training and coaching with colleagues in the department.
- Continuously review and report current efficiencies and react to any threats or challenges by ensuring hourly boards are kept up to date.
- Support and coach staff on the line wishing to progress within the business. Raise any potential skills to key operative and section leader.
- Ensure all details for the production run are captured on bonus sheet including reasons for downtime, staff skills, yield deviation and timings.
- Lead effective 2-way communication with your team to ensure all staff are kept informed of business and departmental issues to help support an engaged and motivated workforce.
- Act as a role model and lead by example, demonstrating core company values, behaviours, and high-performance standards at all times.
- Carry out additional tasks set by the leadership team to support operations across the site.

It is mandatory that you have good English skills.

Applicants must be physically fit as this role includes prolonged standing and some heavy lifting.

Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential as full training is provided.
