HGV Class 1 Driver

Staffline is currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers for our prestigious client based in Portbury.
We are recruiting for both Days and Nights, with opportunities available for experienced Class 1 drivers looking for ongoing work.
Yard Shunter Shift:
14:00 - 22:00
Night Trunking Shifts:
Various start times between 12:00 midday and 01:00
Sunday to Friday operation
PAYE rates are as below:
Days - £19.82 per hour
Nights - £20.66 per hour
Your Time at Work
The role consists of a variety of Class 1 driving duties, including:
- Yard shunting and vehicle movements on site
- Moving a range of vehicles, including rigid and articulated (C+E) vehicles
- Trunking operations between company sites
- Delivering and collecting loads in a safe and professional manner
- Positioning vehicles onto bays at cross-dock facilities where required
- Completing all relevant transport paperwork and vehicle checks
- Following all site, road safety, and compliance procedures
Our Perfect Worker
Requirements:
- Hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Experience with yard shunting or vehicle movements is advantageous
- Strong understanding of road safety and compliance regulations
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
- No more than 6 penalty points on licence
