Security Shift Supervisor

Allied Universal are currently recruiting for a Shift Supervisor to join their security team on the QVC security contract, based in Chiswick, West London.

Contract Information:
Pay Rate: £14.19 per hour.
Hours Per Week: 40 hours
Shift Pattern: 3 days, 4 nights, 7 off and 3 nights, 4 off (over a 3-week period). Flexibility is required Monday to Sunday, for a day and night shift rotation.
SIA License Required: Door Supervisor or Security Guarding
Experience Required: Over 1 year in a corporate security environment, preferably of a Supervisory/Team Leader level.

- Supervision of the security team on the assignment to ensure that the operational delivery of the service is maintained to the highest standards and to the complete satisfaction of the client.

- Be receptive to the clients concerns and complaints and take personal interest in resolving any issues that you become involved in.
- Liaising with the Security Manager and the client during any incidents and ensuring that all Incidents are accurately reported to all relevant parties
- Ensure that the Emergency procedures are carried out in accordance with the building's procedures including fire alarm activation, 1st Aid etc.
- To meet and greet in a polite, professional, and courteous manner all staff, visitors, partners etc and to control the access into QVC offices via the main building entrances.
- To provide a safe and secure working environment for QVC and G4S employees, for temporary staff, contractors, partners, and visitors.
- To support the contract, ensuring that the client's premises are protected in accordance with the Assignment Instructions/SOP's, whilst always maintaining a quality service.
- To carry out patrols as specified in the Assignment Instructions/SOP's
- To provide relief cover on other security posts (reception etc)
- Respond to incidents and unusual occurrences in a professional manner according to site instructions.
- Liaising with QVC's Incident Management Team during incidents.
- To escort contractors in and around the building (if required).
- To escort and assist any impaired mobility staff, visitors, or contractors.
- Respond to alarm activations as and when they happen.
- Carry out duties as required such as stop & search duties.
- Ensure that equipment issued to the contract is maintained and used in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements at all times and where supplied, protective cases are used on all relevant equipment.
- Monitoring of passes and ID badges and the issuing of visitor/contractor passes
- Deal with phone enquiries in a polite and courteous manner.
- Keeping the security areas clean and tidy.
- To handle all persons entering the building smartly, politely and personably.
- To provide information to all staff, visitors and temporary staff.
- Announcing of all visitors to recipients.
- Be correctly dressed in full uniform, as required by the client and that any shortfall in issue is communicated to the site Security Manager/Operations Manager.
- Report any breach of Security immediately to the Security Manager.
- In the event of a breach of Security out of hours, inform G4S Control Centre and they will contact the Duty Manager.
- Ensure that enquiries and calls for assistance from employees, contractors, partners and visitors are handled swiftly and in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ensure that any Security systems are operated in the correct manner.
- Liaising with the relevant authorities. Incident report writing. Access and Egress control.
- Patrols, internally and externally.

Our Perfect Worker
You will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times. Good IT knowledge is also key.
- A valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Badge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be responsive to the client's needs and work in partnership with the client and other suppliers to support the delivery of the services.
- Must be pro-active in your duties, be able to work on your own initiative and work with others.
- Must be able to work under pressure, be able make decisive decisions during incidents and difficult situations.
- Strong knowledge of site processes and procedures, and aptitude for learning and applying such.
