Security Officer

We are seeking a professional, customer-focused Aviation Security Relief Officer to join our team supporting a prestigious private aviation facility in Farnborough.
This is not a traditional static guarding role.
This position operates within a high-end private aviation environment, supporting VIP customers, engineers, contractors, and visitors within a customer-facing setting where white-glove service standards are expected alongside robust security compliance.
Contract Information:
Pay rate: £14.10 per hour
Shift pattern: Days, Afternoon + Nights. 4 on 4 off. Start times can be: 6am, 8am, 10am, 12:00pm. Finish times: 18:00pm. 20:00pm, 22:00pm, 00:00am(Midnight)
Your Time at Work
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Delivering exceptional customer service in a high-end private aviation environment
- Greeting and assisting VIP customers
- Managing access control, pass issuance and ID Verification
- Alarm and CCTV monitoring
- Conducting internal, external, and full site security patrols
- Welfare, safety, and facility checks
- Escorting customers within restricted areas
- Supporting airside / hangar access control processes
- Incident reporting
- Monitoring and responding to operational emails and visitor requests
- Using access control, visitor management, and other security systems
- Supporting emergency procedures and security incidents
- Conducting searches, including same-sex body searches where operationally required
- Complete any other reasonable tasks that are required by the company / Line manager.
You will be provided with the necessary training and uniform so that you can confidently carry out the role in line with security regulations and G4S company policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Physically fit to handle luggage if required up to 25kg
- Able to stand for prolonged hours during their shift
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, where speed and accuracy is key
- Unrestricted right to work full time in the UK for a minimum period of 12 months
- Must be a UK resident for the last 3 years
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills
- A polished, professional, customer-focused approach
- Previous security experience (aviation, corporate, concierge, front-of-house, or high-profile environments desirable)
- Strong computer literacy and confidence using multiple systems
- Strong observational skills and sound security judgement
- The ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent personal presentation and professionalism
- Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and ad hoc relief shifts
- Must be able to pass the CRC check
- Must be able to pass all required training
- Have a five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, or full and part-time education during that period.
