A great opportunity to work as a Food Production Operative for our client, who are a well known Biscuit manufacture.

Staffline are recruiting for Food Production Operatives based in Batley.

The hours of work are, 5 days out of 7, days and nights available:
- Rotating Shift Monday - Friday 07:00 - 14:30/14:30 - 22:00 Saturday & Sunday 07:00 - 19:00
- Night Shift Monday - Thursday 22:00 - 07:00 Friday - 22:00 - 07:00 Saturday & Sunday - 19:00 - 07:00

The rate of pay is:
- Rotating Shift - £12.71 per hour
- Nights - £13.33 per hour

The overtime pay is:
- Rotating - after 37.5hrs - £16.86 per hour
- Nights - after 36hrs - £16.86 per hour

Your Time at Work

During your time as a Food Production Operative you will:

- Flexibility and dexterity required to pack biscuits into blue tubs either row pack, or flat pack onto biscuit flute.
- Feed biscuits into magazine feeds
- Pack finished goods into outers ensuring quality of seals and palletised correctly
- Feed inserts into tracks that feed wrapping machines
- Ensure codes are checked and correct highlighting any concerns immediately to your Line Captain
- Fill assorted biscuits into trays
- Ensure you are only using the correct packaging & materials
- Ensure the number of biscuits you required to fill is correct.
- Supply empty blue tubs to staff or pile full blue tubs on boards
- Be responsible for your Health & Safety and of others, following all safety procedures
- "Clean As You Go" includes sweeping your work area and ensuring all floors on your line are free of any trip or slip hazards.
- Ensure waste is correctly handled and disposed of in the correct way (recycling is a priority on site)
- In depth cleaning is often required such as mopping, scraping and washing webs.
- Good behaviour and team work are expected at all times
- Ensure you follow all procedures and raise concerns with line captains promptly.
- You are required to be on your line, ready to start work at your shift starting time.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will:
- Good understanding of written & spoken English
- Willingness to learn and be flexible in the tasks required of you
- Ability to lift boxes and tubs of biscuits safely - weighing 1.2kg (empty) to 11kg full
- Ability to stack pallets from ground level to height of approximately 1.75m
- Work at speed handling biscuits on a moving web or track
- Work as part of a team - to join in and help those around you
- Be able to follow instructions from other team members and Line Leader
- Be able to check quality of packets and product
- Manual dexterity and being able to carry out repetitive tasks as necessary
- To be able to stand throughout a shift (minus breaks)
