Security Supervisor

We have a great opportunity to join G4S as a Security Supervisor, working on a high-profile security site in the Reading Area, working in their Physical Security Operations Centre!
Contract Information:
Pay Rate: £14.95 per hour
Shift Pattern - 4 on 4 off, days & nights
Hours per week: 42 hours per week
SIA Licences: Door Supervisor or Security Guarding
Security Clearance Required: SC Clearance
You will need to undergo Enhanced Background Checks prior to commencement of the role and be eligible to pass National Security Vetting (SC Clearance) which includes minimum 5 years residency in the UK.
You must have a Full UK Driving licence, which is a requirement to get to the site.
Your Time at Work
As a Security Supervisor your duties include:
- Lead and supervise PSOC Operators during assigned shifts.
- Ensure the effective delivery of 24/7 PSOC services across multiple NESO sites.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex incidents and operational issues.
- Manage and coordinate the response to security incidents and emergency situations.
- Provide command and control oversight during critical events.
- Ensure Operators follow incident management procedures and escalation processes.
- Monitor service performance and ensure high standards of operational delivery.
- Log, track, and escalate security infrastructure and non-security infrastructure faults.
- Analyse performance to identify trends and generate meaningful insights to support continuous improvement activities.
- Promote effective team working, coaching, and development of Operators.
- Uphold and adhere to NESO values.
Our Perfect Worker
What we're looking for:
- Minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent), including Mathematics and English.
- Valid SIA CCTV Licence maintained throughout employment.
- National Security Vetting (SC Clearance) in date and capable of being transferred.
- Fluent spoken and written English to CEFR C2 level or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years' experience working within an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), Security Control Room, or equivalent environment.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory role within an ARC or security control room environment.
- Demonstrable experience leading and managing operational teams.
- Experience triaging incidents and directing emergency response activities.
- Experience managing incident command and control processes.
- Experience with maintenance activities and security system faults.
- Experience producing reports and analysing operational data.
- Experience operating the Synergy CCTV and video management system (preferred, not essential).
- Experience using the Gallagher access control system (preferred, not essential).
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent incident assessment and decision-making capability.
- Ability to remain calm and effective during high-pressure situations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and standard IT systems.
