Staffline is recruiting Hygiene Operatives in Stoke-on-Trent.
The rate of pay is £16.48 per hour.
Overtime is available after working 46 hours and is paid at £24.72 per hour.
This is a full-time role working fixed night shifts, Monday to Thursday, and the hours of work are:
- 6pm to 6am
Your Time at Work
As a Hygiene Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within a fast-paced food production environment. The role involves cleaning production equipment, including mince tanks, ensuring all hygiene procedures are followed, and safely moving equipment using manual and electric pump trucks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Washing, sanitising, and inspecting mince tanks and other production equipment.
- Carrying out scheduled hygiene and deep-cleaning activities across the production area.
- Dismantling, cleaning, and reassembling equipment as required.
- Using approved cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
- Operating manual and electric pump trucks to move tanks and equipment.
- Ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed in line with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Completing cleaning records and associated paperwork accurately.
- Reporting any equipment faults, damage, or health and safety concerns.
- Ensuring personal hygiene standards meet the requirements of a food manufacturing environment.

What we need from you:
- Previous experience in a Hygiene Operative role (essential).
- Experience working in a food production or manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Experience using manual and electric pump trucks.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards.
- Physically capable of moving equipment and carrying out cleaning duties.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
This role is ideal for someone with hygiene experience who takes pride in maintaining excellent cleanliness standards and supporting safe and efficient production operations.
