We're looking for Area Security Officers to support a range of government sites across Whitehall.
This is a role where no two days are quite the same. You'll work across different locations, helping keep people, buildings and operations safe while delivering a professional and welcoming service to staff and visitors.

Pay and Shift Details
- £14.25 per hour
- Average 42 hours per week
- Days, nights & weekends - must be fully flexible
- Day shifts: 7:00am to 7:00pm
- Night shifts: 7:00pm to 7:00am
- Permanent opportunity
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing a visible security presence across multiple government sites
- Greeting staff, visitors and contractors professionally
- Managing access and egress control procedures
- Conducting regular internal and external patrols
- Monitoring CCTV systems and responding appropriately to incidents
- Supporting the safety and security of people, property and assets
- Responding to security concerns, incidents and emergencies
- Completing incident reports accurately using digital systems
- Supporting first aid and emergency procedures when required
- Building positive relationships with government staff, visitors and site teams
- Following site security procedures and compliance requirements at all times
- Delivering a professional customer-focused service throughout every shift

You'll Need To:
- Be aged 18 or over
- Hold a valid SIA Security Guarding (SG) or Door Supervisor (DS) Licence
- Hold a valid SIA CCTV Licence
- Have at least 1 years' experience in a corporate security environment
- Have experience within roles involving access control, patrols and customer-facing security duties
- Have lived continuously in the UK for the last 5 years to meet SC Clearance requirements
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in a professional corporate security environment is essential for this role.
