Great opportunity to work as a Warehouse Operative for our client's distribution centre that stores and distributes fresh and chilled food products to well-known stores across the region, ensuring timely delivery and product quality.
Staffline is recruiting Warehouse Operatives in Burton Latimer.
The rate of pay is £12.71 per hour.
This is a full-time role working 5 days out of 7, and the hours of work are:
- 6am to 2pm
- 10am to 6pm
Applicants must be over the age of 18 and be flexible to work full time.
Your Time at Work
As a Warehouse Operative your duties include:
Picking chilled products for store orders
- Accurately select and pick fresh food products such as dairy, meat, fruit, vegetables, and ready meals to meet store orders, ensuring targets for quality and productivity are achieved.
Stock replenishment and warehouse operations
- Replenish stock within the warehouse, move products to the correct locations, and ensure sufficient stock availability to support continuous operations.
Loading and dispatching goods
- Prepare and load products onto vehicles for delivery to Morrisons stores, ensuring orders are completed accurately and dispatched on time.
Following food safety, health & safety, and quality standards
- Work within a temperature-controlled environment while complying with food hygiene, health and safety, and company procedures to maintain product quality and workplace safety.
Working efficiently in a fast-paced distribution environment
- Meet productivity targets, work as part of a team, and ensure the right products are picked and processed at the right time for store deliveries.

- Applicants must accurately pick and prepare orders, ensuring the correct products and quantities are selected for store deliveries. High levels of accuracy are essential to maintain stock quality and customer satisfaction.
Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment
- The Fresh Department operates to strict deadlines, and workers must be able to work efficiently while meeting productivity and performance targets. The role requires maintaining pace without compromising safety or quality.
Commitment to Health, Safety, and Food Hygiene Standards
- Workers must follow all food safety, quality, and health & safety procedures while handling chilled products in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment.
Teamwork and Communication Skills
- The role involves working closely with colleagues and supervisors to ensure orders are picked, replenished, and dispatched on time. Good communication and a cooperative approach are important.
Reliability and Flexibility
- Workers should be dependable, punctual, and willing to adapt to changing operational demands in a busy distribution environment.
Physically fit and have stamina
- The role involves standing, walking, lifting, moving stock, and working throughout a shift in a warehouse setting, therefore a good level of physical fit and stamina is beneficial.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training is provided.
