Cage Repair

A great opportunity to work as a Care Repairer at our clients distribution centre which supports operation focused on the repair, maintenance, and recycling of roll cages and warehouse equipment used in daily logistics operations.

Staffline are recruiting for Cage Repairers in Kettering.

The hours of work are any 5 days out of 7;
- 8am to 4pm (hours can be adjusted for the right candidate)

The rate of pay is £12.71 per hour.

Your Time at Work

Typically, the Cage Repair colleague deals with:

- Damaged roll cages and dollies.
- Repairing and reconditioning cages where possible.
- Replacing wheels, clips, pins, or other cage components.
- Keeping the repair area clean and safe.
- Recording volumes of repaired, scraped and damaged equipment.

A typical shift could involve:
- Inspecting cages / dollies to decide whether they can be repaired, need to be scrapped or need welding.
- Sorting and separating cages that are good to use, need to be repaired / scrapped / welded.
- Replacing wheels or minor parts.
- Returning repaired cages back to operational use.
- Maintaining housekeeping in the repair area.

On some occasions you might be asked to support Warehouse Operation, which can involve:
- Sorting empty trays by sizes and colours.
- Emptying cages with cardboard or plastic onto conveyor belt.
- Inloading / Outloading trailers.
- Sorting plastic equipment.
- Emptying the trays into food waste machine.
