with Culina Group.
Client Overview: About the Culina Group
Culina Group is one of the UK’s leading logistics providers, managing complex supply chain operations for many of the country’s biggest and best-known brands. With a nationwide network of over 125 sites and a workforce supporting high-volume distribution around the clock, Culina plays a critical role in keeping the UK’s supply chain moving.
Background: Staffline’s Partnership with the Culina Group
In 2025, Culina made the strategic decision to consolidate and strengthen its workforce provision. The business wanted a single, expert recruitment partner capable of providing full visibility, scalability, and consistency across its entire operation.
To achieve this, Culina selected Staffline to lead its workforce recruitment solutions - recognising our scale, deep expertise, and proven capability to deliver in complex, high-volume environments.
This appointment meant that Staffline took responsibility not only for Culina’s internal labour provider, The Logistics People, but also for its entire second-tier supplier network. It was the largest single takeover of workforce operations in UK logistics history - a project of significant size, scale, and pace that demanded collaboration, transparency, and mutual trust.
Securing this partnership - despite no prior trading history between the two businesses - is a powerful endorsement of Staffline’s model, built on strategic partnership, robust governance, and a consultative approach that delivers measurable value.

Why the Culina Group Chooses Staffline
The decision to partner with Staffline was built on trust, capability, and shared ambition. From the outset, Culina recognised that our experience, resources, and people-first approach aligned with their vision for a unified, strategically managed workforce solution.
Our partnership demonstrates:
- Strategic collaboration — acting as an extension of Culina’s business, not just a supplier.
- Proven delivery at scale, across 125 sites nationwide.
- Strong governance and workforce visibility, providing confidence and control.
- Consultative problem-solving, grounded in operational understanding.
- Collaborative leadership, creating a ‘one team’ culture across both organisations.
- Operational resilience, supporting continuity in a demanding sector.
- A shared commitment to continuous improvement, driving long-term success.
This project marks the foundation of a strategic partnership between two industry leaders. Together, Staffline and Culina continue to strengthen their relationship, drive innovation and demonstrate what’s possible when expertise and collaboration work hand in hand.
Our Solution
At the heart of this transition was meticulous planning, open communication, and a shared commitment to doing things the right way.
We worked closely with Culina’s leadership and site teams to deliver a seamless transfer of operations, ensuring continuity across a fast-moving, high-volume logistics environment. Through close collaboration we built strong foundations for a long-term, strategic partnership.
Key elements of the solution included:
- Registering and onboarding more than 2,000 workers across 125 sites.
- Establishing a robust Management Information (MI) framework to support visibility and ongoing performance.
- Completing Right to Work checks across the temporary workforce.
- Working closely with site teams to embed consistent operational practices.
- Onboarding 54 agencies onto a new Managed Service Provider (MSP) platform to standardise and simplify workforce processes.
Behind the operational delivery was the real driver of success: our people - acting not simply as a service provider, but as a trusted partner invested in Culina’s long-term success.
“Partnering with Staffline has been instrumental for Culina Group. The seamless integration of The Logistics People and our wider agency network have strengthened our workforce model and given us greater visibility, control, and confidence.
Their ability to mobilise quickly, onboard thousands of workers, and align with our operational standards has been outstanding. This partnership has set a new benchmark for how large-scale workforce solutions can be delivered.”
