Contract Information:
Hours - 48 per week
Shift Pattern: Monday-Thursday, 4 off, Tuesday-Friday, 2 off (12hr Day Shifts)
Pay Rate: £16.20 per hour
SIA License Required: Door Supervisor or Security Guarding
Location: London
Experience Level: 1 year or more in a corporate security supervisor role
Your Time at Work
As the shift supervisor for the security team, you are the first point of contact for all security related issues on site.
The supervisor provides an essential line management and support role to the security teams. You are responsible for your own team and ensuring that they are safe, secure and confident in their role. You will always be expected to lead by example, ensuring that the environment is not only running as smoothly as possible but exceeding expectations.
- Responsible for the rostering of staff and ensuring the contract is staffed to contractual specifications, including appropriate holiday cover and managing staff absence.
- Ensure compliance with Assignment Instructions and Risk Assessments.
- Escalate any serious issues relating to conduct or capability of officers.
- Ensure that your officers are fully aware of their responsibility for themselves and others to work safely, and that all officers are trained on Health & Safety and Fire and emergency. .
- Report any Health & Safety issues on site.
- Produce accurate incident reports.
- Respond to emergency situations.
- Work closely with the security management team.
- Ensure that the service levels for the Security team are always maintained to the highest standard with a focus on customer service balanced with security awareness.
- Escalate major incidents to the Security Operations Manager, Assistant Security Manager or the appropriate channel.
- Assume responsibility for and supervise the on duty shift, carrying out security briefings with staff, and providing a security handover when relieved of duty by the oncoming Shift Supervisor.
- Assume full responsibility for all aspects of the site, outside normal working hours.
- Lead and oversee Fire Evacuations and Internal Assemblies in the absence of the Security Manager/Assistant Security Manager, as well as reacting to all Security alarms within the Security Control Room.
- Ensure that incidents are dealt with and properly reported.
- Ensure that all Security Officers are of a high professional visible standard and in possession of their SIA Licenses, site positional and emergency cards.
- Be familiar with the contents of the Assignment Instructions and SOP's
- Ensure that security officers follow Control Room procedures, completing the required paperwork correctly.
- Ensure that security patrols are carried out.
- Assist with training new Security Officers and refresher training for existing staff.
- Ensure all duty rosters are kept up to date and completed in a timely manner.
- Liaise with and assist Tenants as necessary, ensuring that a high level of customer service is provided when dealing with requests and enquiries.
- Operate access control, CCTV, fire alarm and lift systems, reporting and any faults to the relevant department.
- Provide First Aid assistance when required, following First Aid training supplied.

Key Information and Benefits
£16.20 per hour
22.4 days leave per year, with the option of accruing additional days leave from overtime worked (up to a maximum of 28 days).
