Line Leader - Days

We are looking for a motivated and confident Line Leader to join a busy fresh produce operation in Alconbury Weald, working within the Citrus Department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with leadership or production experience who is ready to take on more responsibility, develop their skills and build a long-term career within a fast-paced and growing operation.
Full training is provided for the right candidate.
Pay Rates
- £12.71 per hour during training
- £13.70 per hour after successful completion of training
Overtime after 48 hours:
- £15.89 per hour during training
- £17.13 per hour after successful completion of training
Shift Pattern
4 days on, 4 days off
07:00 - 19:30
This shift pattern gives you regular working hours while also providing four consecutive days off.
Transport Available from Peterborough
Transport is available from 4 convenient pick-up locations across Peterborough for £8 per day return, taking you to work and back.
Candidates living in Alconbury, Huntingdon and surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.
Your Time at Work
As a Line Leader, you will play an important role in keeping the production line running safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and motivating your team to achieve daily production targets.
- Organising the production line and supporting smooth day-to-day operations.
- Monitoring performance and KPIs and helping to reduce downtime.
- Ensuring products meet required quality, food safety and customer standards.
- Working closely with Quality and Technical teams.
- Training and supporting new starters and developing team members.
- Ensuring raw materials and finished products are handled correctly.
- Promoting high standards of health and safety.
- Completing relevant production documentation and communicating operational issues.
- Taking ownership of line performance and encouraging strong teamwork and continuous improvement.
Our Perfect Worker
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, can confidently take the lead and is comfortable making decisions in a busy production environment.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous leadership, supervisory or team-leading experience.
- Experience within food production, fresh produce, manufacturing or a similar environment.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience working towards KPIs and production targets.
- Good computer skills.
- A proactive approach to solving problems.
- The ability to motivate and support others.
- A strong focus on safety, quality and teamwork.
- A positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
Previous Line Leader experience would be an advantage, but don't let that stop you from applying. Full training will be provided for the right person.
