The rate of pay is up to £25.72 per hour.
Overtime is available and is paid at:
- Monday to Friday x1.33
- Saturday x1.5
- Sunday x2
All subject to WTA terms and conditions
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, between 43-45 hours per week (production dependant). The hours of work are:
- 7am to 3:30pm
Your Time at Work
The Maintenance Controls Engineer is responsible for providing expert technical support to departments to resolve issues, optimise processes, and implement long-term solutions that improve equipment reliability, performance, and technical availability.
You will drive the development and introduction of innovative control concepts, influencing the implementation of new technologies, facilities, processes, and product models all while identifying opportunities for cost and efficiency improvements. You will also support continuous improvement by developing technical capabilities within the team, agreeing training needs, and delivering relevant training activities.
Key responsibilities:
- Complex problem solving and root cause analysis for control systems.
- Advising and supporting the manufacturing teams on complex problem resolution to ensure technical availability and efficiency of the equipment.
- To implement and identify permanent solutions ensuring the efficiency of equipment.
- Implement equipment upgrades to the facilities, to ensure equipment runs and is optimised to the latest specification software releases and technical standards.
- Offer specialist support to planning and project implementation activities.
- Attend and support project meetings to achieve full development of upgrades and to aid future planning and implementation.
- Communicate and monitor changes to technical equipment to ensure that all changes meet specifications and that manufacturing teams are aware of the changes and performance is not affected.
- Analysis of all appropriate data to identify trends and remedial actions.

- Minimum of 5 years' experience within maintenance and an automated equipment environment.
- Understand how to follow standards and safety requirements to ensure legally compliant.
- Self-motivated and proactive in approach.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to train others within the team.
