Position: Store Security Manager
Location: Central London
Pay Rate: £17.00 - £18.00 per hour
Hours: Full-time, 5 days a week (including Saturdays)
Shifts: 12-hour shifts, typically from 10:30 to 22:30

Role Overview

As the Store Security Manager, you will lead, motivate, and manage a team of security staff to achieve client objectives and minimise theft within the retail premises. You will ensure strict compliance with all legislative requirements, including health and safety, employment law, and licensing. A critical part of your role will be ensuring that your team adheres to company documentation and conducts arrests strictly in accordance with Primark's detention policy and ASCONE principles.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide daily management and guidance to the in-store security team, ensuring exemplary standards of professionalism, dress, and conduct.
- Lead regular team meetings to brief Officers on store objectives, daily operations, and procedures.
- Ensure offenders are detained safely and strictly according to Primark's detention policy and ASCONE.
- Manage digital reporting promptly using the Auror platform to log all incidents, deterrents, and arrests for KPI analysis.
- Maintain accurate store paperwork, including records for lost property and RLP Civil Recovery.
- Act as the primary liaison for emergency services and build strong partnerships with the Police and other retail/BID agencies.
- Immediately report major issues, such as physical assaults or wrongful arrests, to Store Management, the Area Manager, or the TSS Control Center.
- Deliver thorough induction training, mentoring, and coaching to new Officers to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify conduct or performance shortfalls, recommend remedial action, and ensure all staff are treated equally and fairly.
- Meet regularly with the store management team to review loss prevention, team performance, and KPIs.

The Perfect Candidate

To succeed in this role, you must be tech-savvy enough to handle digital, paperless administration and possess outstanding communication and customer service skills.

Essential Requirements:
- A valid SIA Door Supervisor or SIA Security licence.
- Previous Retail Security experience.
- Prior experience acting as a Retail Security Supervisor or Team Leader.
- Clear and confident communication skills for interacting with colleagues, clients, and customers.
- Strong team-working, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- The ability to remain professional and calm under pressure.
- Good overall computer literacy.

Desirable (but not essential):
- SIA Public Space Surveillance (PSS) / CCTV licence.
- A valid First Aid qualification.
- Previous experience operating in a similar role.
