PPT Driver Temp to Perm

Great opportunity to work as a PPT Driver for a leading company in the fruit and vegetable industry, packing and supplying fresh produce across the UK.
Staffline is seeking Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) Drivers to join their team in Peterborough.
This is a temp-to-perm position. You must be willing to take on a permanent contract after 12 weeks.
The rates of pay are:
Days - £13.40 per hour
Overtime - £16.75 per hour after 48 hours
The shift pattern is:
- 4on, 4off
The shift times are:
- 05:45am to 18:15pm
Due to the early start time, candidates should have their own vehicle or reliable transport to ensure a calm and punctual start to the day, as public services may not yet be running at that hour.
Your Time at Work
As a PPT Driver, your duties include:
- Helping unload and load lorries
- Bringing the stock to the production lines
- Moving completed stock from production lines to the despatch area
- Some heavy lifting may also be required
Our Perfect Worker
Our ideal PPT Driver will hold a valid PPT license and demonstrate confidence operating PPT trucks in a fast-paced environment. However, if you have in-house training and relevant experience but do not hold a formal license, we still encourage you to apply.
You will need to be able to read and communicate in English and have basic maths ability as you will need to pass an assessment during registration.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working on their feet throughout their shift and possess a good level of physical fitness, as the role may require heavy lifting of up to 20KG.
Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
