Great opportunity to work as a Security Officer for G4S, a leading global security and outsourcing group, specialising in outsourcing of business processes in sectors where security and safety risks are considered a strategic threat.

G4S is recruiting for a Security Officer to work in London.

The rate of pay is £14.5 per hour.

This is a full-time role working Monday - Friday on day shifts only.

Your Time at Work

As a Security Officer at G4S, you are more than a Security Guard. You'll ensure the safety of our customers staff, their buildings and assets, whilst providing excellent customer service with a smile. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service in a safe and secure environment.

It's a varied role that includes greeting staff and visitors and ensuring they adhere to the required security protocols, conducting searches where required, patrolling the premises and dealing with security incidents. With a keen eye and a brilliant way with people, you could look forward to an interesting role where no two days are the same with exciting career opportunities.

You will be required to help with receiving deliveries and other general warehouse tasks.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times. A good IT knowledge is also key.

You must be flexible and available to work day shifts from Monday - Friday

- Conduct loading bay patrols
- Be a visible security contact for contractors and delivery drivers
- Act as deterrent for any unauthorised access
- Book in and out vehicles entering the loading bay as needed
- Log in deliveries and inform the relevant recipient
- Act as the fire marshal and first aider for the loading bay areas
- Manage the loading bay in an efficient way so that deliveries and collections do not clash.

It would be a benefit to have some security experience and your SIA licence, however it's not essential, as we provide full SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence training.
