Great opportunity to work as a Skilled Operative for one of the nation's leading meat suppliers.

Staffline is recruiting for Skilled Operatives in Doncaster.

This is a full time role working, days or nights, the hours of work are:
- 6am to 4pm
- 8pm to 5am

The rate of pay for days is £12.05 - £27.12 per hour.

Your Time at Work

The responsibilities of a Butcher/Trimmer include:

- Ensuring that orders are produced in line with customer specifications
- Working in a cost-effective manner, maintaining low waste levels across production
- Focusing on quality and presentation targets
- Completing relevant paperwork in line with standard practices
- Product Temperature control
- Ensuring that all equipment is in correct working order
- Working in accordance with health and safety protocol and food hygiene practices
- De-crating, butchering, packing and presenting
To load / unload packing / equipment with the correct products or packaging.

The responsibilities of a Ve-mag Operator include:

-Control the correct specification of final product.
-Control the Ve-mag using the correct settings to prevent damage to equipment.
-To understand and have a full knowledge of VL identification.
-To fully understand the Giveaway process and control this to optimise profitability.
-To correctly control the separation of different specifications and VL products on the line.
-Loaders / Fillers - unloading / loading mince into the Ve-mags effectively, following all health, safety and food hygiene/safety procedures.
-To ensure all base webs and top webs are changed according to line and product using the part rolls first.
-To ensure the management of any waste from your equipment.
-To control and manage part trays effectively.
-To commit to training when new equipment or processes become common practice.
-Disposing of packaging waste in accordance with the red and clear bag procedure ensuring excellent food hygiene practices.
-Placing all unused packaging and raw material in the correct storage place following our safety and food safety policies and procedures.
-To build and dismantle any equipment that you are trained to do so.
-Any other reasonable requests by the management team

Our ideal Butcher focuses on quality and presentation in their work. Butchers have a keen understanding of Food Hygiene practices and work in line with Health & Safety protocols.

Strong organisational skills and consistency are essential for this positions.

Experience in a similar role required.

Professional experience with a knife is required for butcher position - all prior experience will be considered.
