Staffline is recruiting a Key Operative- Line Setter in Grimsby.

This is a full-time role working fixed night shifts and the hours of work are:
- 6pm to 6am

The rate of pay is £14.50 to £15.46 per hour

Your Time at Work
As Key Operative- Line Setter, your duties include:

- Use trained skills as assigned by a member of the management team to carry out all preproduction start-up procedures including Head checks, machine settings, blade and belt
checks, set up and dye changes, with agreed machine availability with the relevant managers
and in line with the schedule
- Carry out program settings checks on Multivacs, and program selection on Convergers, WPL's
and FPS
- Manage and carry out the blade changing and sharpening schedule
- Carry out planned maintenance schedules before pre production checks with relevant
machines
- Carry out Multivac daily head cleaning checks, and forming and sealing head cleaning checks
as per set procedure
- Maintain engineering operational, housekeeping, hygiene, minor repairs, Health and Safety
and quality standards and performance at all times
- Use engineering spares and consumables as appropriate, maintaining cost awareness and
highlight any issues or recurrent problems to a member of the management team
- Work with engineering colleagues to ensure that using skills, tools, attitude and standards, so
a first class engineering service can be delivered
- Have a flexible approach to meet changing needs of the business
- Communicate verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues to ensure that relevant
information is passed on, issues are highlighted and agreements reached
- Be flexible and responsive to suggestions for change and assist in other areas if required
- Ensure knowledge of and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Assist with the training and development of others
- Ensure effective communication
- Ensure knowledge of and compliance with all company policies, procedures and rules
contained in the company handbook and displayed on notice-boards
- Work flexibly to support all areas of the business where required to ensure service levels are
met

- Knows and complies with all relevant business and site policies such as Health and Safety
and Food Safety standards
- Site will provide training in order to complete the tasks, quality, specification and
operational requirements
- Knowledge of the specific machinery and equipment on site and how it operates to
facilitate effective problem solving and allocation of time and resource
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times
Effective time management, communication and problem solving skills
- Proactive approach with willingness to learn new skills and techniques
- Flexibility adaptability, teamwork and the ability to work under pressure
- Follow written and verbal instructions, keen observational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work in a fast paced food manufacturing environment and knowledge of food
industry including relevant procedures/regulation to ensure food safety and safe working
- NVQ in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Working in a production environment with varying temperatures of approx. 8 degrees and
below
