Great opportunity to work as an Intake Operative for one of the largest providers of fresh flowers to major supermarket chains throughout the UK.

Staffline is recruiting Intake Operatives to work in Alconbury.

The rates of pay are:
- Day Shift £13.26 per hour
- Night shift £16.58 per hour

Overtime is available after working 48 hours and is paid at:
- Day shift £16.58 per hour
- Night shift £20.72 per hour

As an intake operative, you will be required to work on a 4 on, 3 off, 3 on 4 off shift pattern.

The shifts for this position are:

- Days, 6am to 6pm
- Nights, 6pm to 6am

Please note that shift patterns are subject to change to meet business requirements.

Your Time at Work

As an Intake Operative, your responsibilities will include:

- Receiving, processing, storing, and handling various types of flowers
- Unloading and splitting deliveries based on product type
- Scanning stock accurately into and out of the warehouse
- Putting stock away in designated areas to support picking operations
- Delivering consumables in a timely manner to minimise line downtime
- Working alongside the yard team to ensure timely equipment loading
- Assisting with weekly equipment counts for accurate stock control
- Following correct manual handling techniques and safe MHE operation
- Keeping the work environment clean and adhering to Health & Safety policies
- Reporting any defects or unsafe practices to the Section Leader

Our ideal Intake Operative will:

- Be safety-conscious and follow all Health & Safety procedures
- Have good teamwork and communication skills
- Be proactive and maintain a clean working environment
- Be comfortable performing physical and repetitive tasks
- Ideally have experience operating MHE (training provided if needed)

Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
