Staffline is recruiting CO2 Laser Machine Operators & Setters in Loughborough.
The salary is competitive and negotiable, based on skills and experience.
Overtime may be available, depending on workload, and is paid at enhanced rates.
This is a full-time, permanent role working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with the following shift pattern:
· Monday to Thursday: 07:45 AM – 4:30 PM
· Friday: 07:45 AM – 3:15 PM
Your Time At Work:
As a CO2 Laser Machine Operator & Setter, you’ll be responsible for setting and operating Trotec CO2 laser machines to cut precision components from printed plastic sheet material. You’ll interpret technical drawings, program laser jobs using CorelDraw, and occasionally edit files using AutoCAD. This role requires a hands-on, detail-focused individual with a passion for producing quality work.
Key responsibilities include:
· Setting and operating Trotec CO2 laser machines to produce components to tight tolerances
· Programming laser jobs using CorelDraw and editing designs in AutoCAD when needed
· Reading and interpreting engineering drawings accurately
· Machining plastic sheets and jig mouldings to precise specifications
· Conducting self-inspections and ensuring output meets quality standards
· Performing daily maintenance and routine safety checks on machinery
· Following all health & safety procedures on the shop floor
Our Perfect Worker:
You’ll be fluent in English (spoken and written), with good maths and IT skills. You should be confident reading technical drawings and capable of working independently to a high standard.
Applicants must have previous experience operating CO2 laser cutting machines, ideally Trotec systems. Knowledge of CorelDraw is essential, and familiarity with AutoCAD would be a bonus. We’re looking for someone who shows strong attention to detail, can solve problems efficiently, and brings a positive, team-focused attitude with a willingness to grow.
