Great opportunity to work as a Production Operative for our client, which produces some of the nation's favourite cakes such as Cherry Bakewells, Mince Pies, Jam Tarts and Cake Slices!
Staffline is recruiting Production Operatives in Stoke-on-Trent.
The rate of pay is:
- 6pm to 6am £15.44 per hour
- 10pm to 6am £14.30 per hour
Overtime is available and is paid at:
- 6pm to 6pm Saturday and Sunday overtime is £27.02 per hour
- 10pm to 6am Saturday £21.45 per hour and Sunday is £28.60 per hour
This is a full-time role working fixed night shifts and the hours of work are:
- Monday to Thursday, 6pm to 6am
- Monday to Friday 10pm to 6am
Your Time at Work
As a Production Operative you will be working on the production lines producing cakes. Your duties include:
- Ensuring that production lines are running smoothly
- Reporting any breakdowns or problems with production
- Adhering to food safety standards
- Adhering to health and safety standards
You could be required to place cherries on the Cherry Bakewells, or ""pat down"" making sure the slices are moving through the lines the right way, or ""tray off"" taking freshly made products of the line to cool. You will be required to work at the speed of the production line as part of the production team
The more experience you gain you will be able to move into more skilled roles within the factory.
Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect worker will be physically fit as you will be standing or moving for 8 or 12 hour shifts and repeating light manual handling. You will show good attention to detail and be able to follow detailed work instructions.
Applicants will maintain production and food safety standards and have a good standard or spoken English.
Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential as full training is provided.
