Great opportunity to work as a Lone Security Officer for G4S, a leading global security and outsourcing group, specialising in outsourcing of business processes in sectors where security and safety risks are considered a strategic threat.
G4S is recruiting for a Lone Security Officer to work in Essex with a global company!
Must have a valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding. Must also have a CCTV license and Full UK Driving License.
Contract Information:
Pay Rate: £15.65 per hour
Shift Pattern: Flexibility required Monday to Sunday.
Hours per week: up to 42 hours (on average) working 6:00 - 18:00, 18:00 to 6:00
SIA Licenses: Security Guarding or Door Supervisor and CCTV is required.
To be considered for this position, we do require over 2 years in corporate security or a similar background.

Your Time at Work
- Monitor live CCTV feeds to detect security breaches, safety hazards, or suspicious activity
- Respond to alarms and alerts, assess situations, and take appropriate action
- Control site access gates and manage entry/exit of vehicles and personnel
- Issue visitor and contractor passes and conduct searches upon entry
- Handle keys securely and maintain accurate logs
- Perform reception duties including greeting visitors and managing enquiries
- Respond to client/customer enquiries via phone and email professionally
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections across the site
- Maintain detailed incident reports, fault logs, and CCTV records
- Report equipment faults and failures in line with procedures
- Assist with emergency response and incident management
- Participate in site fire safety training (provided)
- Provide First Aid at Work and operate a defibrillator if required
- Ensure compliance with the CCTV Code of Practice and ISPS regulations
Our Perfect Worker
- SIA Licence required, CCTV and DS/SG
- Corporate Security experience for at least 2 years is an advantage
- Ex forces would be an advantage
- Must be flexible and be able to workdays, nights, weekends and have the flexibility to change due to operational needs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as customer service at all times
- Must have an excellent command of English Language & Good IT Skills
- Reliable, Responsible and Punctual
- A friendly, professional, courteous and outgoing character
- To always take pride in your appearance, ensuring immaculate presentation
- Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site.
