Staffline is recruiting Plastics Fabricators in Loughborough.
The salary is competitive and negotiable, depending on experience.
Overtime may be available based on production demands and is paid at an enhanced rate.
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with the following shift pattern:
- Monday to Thursday: 07:45 AM – 4:30 PM
- Friday: 07:45 AM – 3:15 PM
Your Time At Work:
As a Plastics Fabricator, you’ll be responsible for assembling high-quality plastic components by reading and interpreting technical drawings and applying best practices in industrial plastic fabrication. You’ll work with a range of adhesives and finishing methods to meet precise specifications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and determining the most effective assembly methods
- Selecting appropriate adhesives and fabrication techniques based on material and design
- Performing hand-finishing techniques and acrylic polishing
- Setting up and jigging multiple components for consistent fabrication
- Conducting quality checks and self-inspections to meet CTQ (Critical to Quality) standards
- Supporting the smooth running of the fabrication area through daily tasks and upkeep
- Following all health & safety and operational guidelines on the shop floor
Our Perfect Worker:
You’ll be fluent in English (spoken and written), with the ability to read detailed technical drawings, and have good maths and IT skills. You’ll be proactive, punctual, and committed to learning, with a positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
Applicants should have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in plastic fabrication and ideally hold a relevant qualification in fabrication.
A strong attention to detail, a problem-solving mindset, and an understanding of machining methods (including CNC) are essential to maximise productivity.
